Iphone 13 pro max durability

My iphone 13 pro max is just 5weeks old. Im so confused and wondered that there so many scratches on the metal frame on the right side of the phone. Why is that? Are we again fooled by the metal frames by its shiny and glossy finish? I want to ask same question to apple employee who would see this question at any chance.

The sides of the iPhone 13 Pro Max are made of stainless steel. Stainless is not scratch proof. Any iPhone not put in a protective case can be scratched. Cosmetic issues caused by using the phone are not covered under iPhone warranty. If you want to avoid future scratches, put your phone in a case.

I've had my iPhone 13 Pro Max since Launch Day. My phone has been in a case from the moment I received it. There are no scratches on my phone at all.
