App disappeared and not allowed to reinstall from App Store

I had Venmo open, and I clicked an option (Do not remember what it was/ had never seen this option before). Venmo.app disappeared from my iPhone, but it still showing up in Setting suggesting it is still on iPhone, but if so, I cannot find it. I've been through several iterations with Venmo the company to no avail. The recommended I go to Apple for help. Starting here to see if anyone else has had this problem and/ or is a solution is known. Thanks in advance.
