Swimming with Apple Watch 6

Hello. I have an Apple Watch 6 and I have been wondering whether or not to use it to track swimming in the pool. I have been taking it off before going in the pool because two of the previous smart watches I had made by Fitbit broke after a year. I suspect it was because I used them for regular swimming although they were also made for swimming. Therefore, I don’t want the same to happen to my Apple Watch.

I go swimming once a week and the pool water has quite a lot of chlorine in it. I go swimming for 30 minute's.

Thank you for the links to to the information. If the Watch breaks due to water getting in, would the Apple limited warranty cover it? Please let me know whether anyone has had problems with their Apple Watch after swimming regularly with it as I am still not sure

It's really a personal choice, applecare doesn't cover water damage to the watch.

I do wear my watch for pool swimming and have done for years now but many people don't want to risk a very expensive gadget with the risk that it might get water damaged and they are not covered by the warranty.
