Multiple Networks?

I have a CenturyLink modem in my home. My service provider is CenturyLink. Frequently the WiFi automatically switches to “COX-WI-FI”. To the best of my knowledge I have no active business relationship with COX cable? How do I resolve this issue? It interferes with my iPad, iPhone and streaming television.

Forget the Cox Wi-Fi network in Settings > Wi-Fi (tap the round blue ℹ️ button while connected to the Cox Wi-Fi), and then change the setting to require approval before connecting to a new Wi-Fi network (also in Settings > Wi-Fi).

Then check with CenturyLink support around why that CenturyLink Wi-Fi is burbling, or is being overpowered by the other network.
