I need to kill the process siriactionsd long enough to use a lockdown browser for an exam. How do I do that?

Disabling siriactionsd Hi guys! I'm part of a school that has very strict rules regarding online classes and a private app for watching those classes. It requires all other applications to be closed, as well as some other system processes. The class app itself closes this process prior to entering the class, however, it opens up by itself again during the class, throwing me out as soon as it happens. Thus the question of disabling siriactionsd which is one of the requirements to not be running. I already disabled Ask Siri via standard System Preferences. I'm currently using macos Ventura 13.0

Apple AI & Siri, Bugs to Report I'd like to kindly report some bugs I've discovered with Apple AI's Siri on macOS 15.3. This is based on my usage just as of today, on the latest update. These bugs are in no particular order. 1. Chat (typing) box doesn't expand as chat exceeds size: If you click on the new Siri, an animated chat-text bar opens up. This bar expands somewhat as the chat increases, but appears to reach a limit, after which the user's chat, query, prompt, etc. will simply fall out of view, as the chat box/window doesn't continue to increase. 2. Clicking off or away from the box will erase or eliminate the present convo: Assuming you're in the middle of a query or prompt to Siri, but halfway through you click elsewhere, as to look up something or simply because something else came up. Now, when you return to Siri, that pending convo will be gone, and if you didn't start it yet (i.e. didn't enter it as a new convo but merely typed it), it will be gone and you'll have to redo it from scratch. 3. No easy or direct access to history: In addition to the prior bug, it's also not possible to readily view or access your Siri history without recursing to your ChatGPT login. And if you don't have a ChatGPT login, it's likely that you won't have any history at all available. 4. Fails to consistently refer or recourse to ChatGPT whenever it can't answer: Naturally, "old" Siri may be unable to answer things that "new" Siri can. But even if you have the "Confirm ChatGPT" request off (i.e., it doesn't require your consent in order to use it), Siri will sometimes fail to recourse to ChatGPT for an intelligent or proper answer to your question, instead simply saying "I don't understand," or giving some incorrect or not-useful "old" Siri-type answer. 5. Doesn't summarize search results: Sometimes, a query or prompt will apparently result in Siri simply providing a list of corresponding search results. However, these results are not summarized, merely listed, meaning the user still has to click on each and search through them to determine if there is an answer to the question. Like Google's summarize feature, Siri should attempt to summarize the answer based on the search results, and provide the summary as paramount t the search results themselves (or in addition to). 6. Siri's pronunciation still somewhat robotic: Unlike ChatGPT's voice models, Siri's still produces robotic-sounding or mispronounced enunciations of some words, seeming yet unnatural (although improved from "old" Siri). These are the bugs I've discovered so far. I may update this post if I find more.

Need option to delete Siri App My company works in the cleared space. We are looking at changing from Windows OS to MacOS, however, Siri is a stopper. Security Policies will NOT allow the Siri App or any application like it to be loaded. Is it possible to delete the siri app on the newest MacBook Systems after purchase? Would be ordering ~ (200) systems to start. Hueyguns

I did exactly that and it still shows up in processes and lockdown browser still complains about it. There was a list of things it was complaining about. Your response took care of those but not siriactionsd…

Well - on my M-Class Apple Computer with on Monterey 12.5.1 the " siriactionsd " does show up in Activity Monitor >> View >> View ALL Processes even thought I do not use Siri At ALL.

How exactly is this specific Native Apple Process interfering with this Unknown " lockdown browser " ?
