Voicemail badge does not clear
I’ve listened to and deleted all voicemails. Restarted my iPhone 12 but still the badge does not clear. I am on the very latest software. Is it a new bug, again?

Hi kered33,
If you haven't already, you'll want to ensure there are no carrier setting updates available for your iPhone 12 and carrier: Manually update your carrier settings on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
"When a carrier settings update is available, you'll be prompted to install it. Installation takes less than one minute, and you can keep using your device normally. If your carrier releases a mandatory update, you'll see an OK button instead of an Update button to let you know that the update was downloaded and installed.
If you dismiss the installation notification, you can manually update carrier settings by following these steps:
Let us know if that helps or if you've already tried that step.
Take care!

There are no voice mails. This Apple software bug has been around for a very long time. Sometimes a new voicemail deletes the Badge count, when you delete the latest voicemail.
Hi kered33,
Since there is no notification for a carrier update, this means that your settings are up-to-date. Let's see if there are any voicemails when you call your voicemail. From your iPhone, dial your own number. Then, as mentioned in Check your voicemail on iPhone - Apple Support, "press * or # (depending on your carrier) to bypass your greeting, then enter your voicemail password." Are any voicemails found when you do that?
Since voicemail is a carrier feature, also check with your carrier to see if there are any issues on their end.
Best of luck.
Call your voicemail, *86, password, delete voicemails there. I do remember this "bug" from at least 2020.
Apple Support suggests asking my carrier to clear my voicemail settings, then set up again.
Hey kered33,
At this point, we would recommend reaching out to Apple Support. They will have the necessary tools to investigate into this matter a little further with you: Get Support.
Cheers.
I've followed the path Settings > General > About , but there is no mention of carrier update. What am I missing?
