My Milanese Loop is staining my wrist. Is this dangerous?

In May, I bought a gold Milanese Loop from the Apple Store in Covent Garden, London. I’ve worn it on and off since then, switching between it, a Sport Band and a Leather Link.

Recently, I noticed a stain on my wrist. It looked like a bruise at first, but today I noticed that it’s actually golden. The Milanese Loop must be depositing the gold colour on my wrist.

This seems worrying and not what I expected from an Apple product.

Has anyone else experienced this?
