Safari Frequently Visited Shows Personal Information

Umm, how do we file a privacy concern with Apple? I am posting here for awareness

I frequently use Microsoft Teams. I just noticed it is in my frequently used sites. No problem, I don't mind and I could delete it if I do or even turn off the feature.

However...it is showing a screen capture of one of my video chats. It so happens that this is actually a health visit for a family member :O

This...is...not ok...to say the least. I also noted that several screen captures are of info from a logged in session (mail is actually a specific email). Also, not ok Apple. This is a security concern for shoulder searching alone, let alone if you should be saving the logged in info.

You capturing a publicly available page (login or home page), no problem. This level of detail is quite unexpected from my perspective.

I understand your concern. From that description though, it appears to be something Microsoft should address: Contact a third-party vendor - Apple Support.

Microsoft Teams is not an Apple product and I have only a passing familiarity with it. If you were using Safari with it, perhaps that would be reason to use Private Browsing: Use Private Browsing in Safari on Mac - Apple Support. Nothing is retained upon exiting Private Browsing.

Frequently Visited is after all a useful Safari feature. If you are concerned about personal information the solution is simple: it's your Mac, don't let others use it.

It seems to me that you are concerned about end-to-end encryption, in which case you should consider using FaceTime: FaceTime security - Apple Support. I don't know if MS Teams offers that.

Apple goes as far as they can to address privacy concerns: Privacy - Apple
