How are you holding your iPad? With the Home button at the bottom or at your right thumb? If Home is at your right thumb and your iPad is a cellular model, this is likely the SIM card slot ejector button. If your iPad is WiFi only, there is no hole into which you should insert a pin.

There is no reset button on any Apple portable device. The only hole a pin may be inserted into is the ejector pin for the SIM card slot. On the iPad Mini 5 with cellular, the SIM card slot is near the bottom of the right side of the device.

A small hole on the top of the case is likely a microphone.

With the sole exception of WiFi+Cellular models of iPad - that does have a single hole in the edge of the SIM tray with which to eject the physical SIM card - there are no apertures within which any probe or sharp object should ever be inserted.

Inserting a pointed object anywhere will cause significant damage to your iPad - which will not be covered by your device warranty.
