Restore my MacBook Air

My Mac has been corrupted by span and all my network addresses are changed? Can i go back to earlier date and restore things before this happened? Thanks, This is my serial# C0***RVC

There is no "go back" feature on Macs similar to what Windows has.


You can reinstall the OS without touching apps, data or settings but that likely will not solve your problem.


Spam is unwanted communication and as such does nothing but take up space and your time. If you have malware, unwittingly installed by a user, you can usually deal with that with MalwareBytes and/or DetectX Swift. It seems to me malware is likely the issue.


In severe case of corruption, which malware seldom really causes, you can wipe your driver and install a fresh OS. But That WILL erase everything; be absolutely sure you have viable backups and follow the appropriate procedure.


Loosing some data with malware does not usually warrant a complete disk wipe, but you may need to restore the data manually. What addresses are you referring to? Bookmarks?
