Apple TV Remote issue

I have the latest Apple TV 4K with Siri Remote. I cannot get it to turn my Samsung tv on. I can turn it off and my remote will control the sound at volume

Standby/wake of the TV through connected devices depends on HDMI-CEC. How the TV reacts to signals from Apple TV, that depends entirely on the CEC functionality of the TV, as implemented by the manufacturer. CEC-wake may not be supported by all TVs that support some form of CEC.

Verify that CEC is activated on all devices involved.
Read the TV manual or contact the manufacturer Support staff for confirmation of support for CEC-wake by your model TV.
