How do I make my home hubs static IP’s?

I have an issue where I've noticed that my tale lock and Logitech cameras only work when my home hub is set to my HomePod mini. Whenever another device takes over as the hub, these devices have to be removed and added again to HomeKit in order to work.

I saw that this problem exists for others, but there was a suggestion to make the HomePods static IP, for which I would like to try this, but haven't found a way.

don't believe the home hub was ever meant to be something we switch back and forth, which explains why it's only available on devices less likely to be carried out of the house such as the homepod, appletv and ipad(though more likely to be taken out of the house) which explain why iphones, ipod touch and macbooks (well imacs and mac pros too really) was never supported as hubs

not sure even if given a static ip devices would be "fooled" into thinking the new hub was the same as the old hub as MAC address and host names would be new

if I'm right then you can use their feedback channel to change their hub system to be more fluent
