didn’t mean to purchase a subscription but was charged regardless. How do I get a refund?

 If you have requested a refund, you must wait until Apple has approved. Then you will receive a message from Apple.

Seems you would need to first cancel the subscription, to ensure there are no further charges:

If the subscription that you want to cancel is not listed – Apple Support


If money has already been deducted (not pending)
