Hi,
I just upgraded to the iPhone 13 promax and several of my apps are not working correctly. JetBlue, Marriott Bonvoy especially.
My phone is up to date and.all my apps are updated with no luck. Do I have a defective phone?

If 3rd party apps are not functioning properly.. but built in apps are working fine.. then it would be the app developers of the third party apps you should contact. A third party app not working properly does not indicate a defective phone.

Thank you but to have multiple apps that I used all the time on my XR perfectly fine all of a sudden not work on my brand-new iPhone 13 is way too much of a coincidence. I believe it is something with the phone.
iPhone 13 Pro Max and iPhone XR have different hardware/processor and different screen size. As you have not described what kind of issues you are having with those apps, and you have not noted any issues with built in apps.. I would still say it's the apps, not the phone.
If the problem is related to 3rd parties apps, I suggest that you contact their developer/support team(s) and ask them:--> How to contact an app developer - Apple Support
