Microphone problem in iPhone 8

My iPhone8 was working well till the day before yesterday. Yesterday suddenly I make call and found that the microphone is not working that the receiver couldn’t hear me at all . While making calls the microphone is not working but when I take videos it's working well. Even when I make a call from any app such as messenger or Wechat it’s not working there is no sound at all.. I’m wondering what’s wrong with my iPhone 8?

If you have a hearing or sound issue on your device then please try some of these processes to set it right

If the above options do not mitigate the issues then Contact your carrier and then Contact Apple Support

My issue started abruptly last evening between two calls. Mic works for everything BUT phone calls/video calls however it works in Bluetooth car plug in, voice memos & messages, Siri. I’ve restarted updated removed the only two apps that had mic permissions. There is no option to enable phone app to access mic. I’m in a complete quandry. When I use watch to talk and even come remotely close to phone the phone hijacks the call too. 🤷‍♀️
