iPhone XR not holding a charge

Why my iPhone XR just started not holding a charge and gets real hot Please someone help

Check your battery health: settings > battery > battery health. If its <80% you may need to replace the battery.
If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch gets too hot or too cold

I checked my battery health it has maximum capacity is 93% and the iPhone XR outside is hot so is the plug for the charger it gets so hot I hate to even touch it to unplug . I am at odds with it especially ever since it did it last update.if you have an other ideas beside throwing it let me know . Thanks
