Audio Unit plug in scan fail

Hi! I have an issue when opening logic - it gets stuck on the Audio Unit plug in scan. I have already tried deleting the cache. Unfortunately I also cannot open the plug in manager in preferences as it does not give me the option to do so. Please help!
