1. Check to see whether there is an Alternate Face ID setup on your iPhone. Your brother may have setup his Face ID in the Alternate slot. Open Settings ➡️ Face ID & Passcode: Here you can check to see whether there is an Alternate Face ID setup. If there is none setup then:
2. Reset Face ID. Open Settings ➡️ Face ID & Passcode ➡️ Reset Face ID.

Question: Can you brother unlock your iPhone by Face ID even when he is 10 feet away from you? Hand him your locked iPhone and then see whether he can unlock it while you are at least 10 feet away from him.
