Image Capture error 9934

I kept getting error 9934 from Image Capture, even after resorting to things like "chmod 777 ~/Pictures", so while the permissions can be an issue its not the only source of this error, I was guessing that file locks can also trigger this error, which can be cleared by re-booting / re-starting a unix OS like macOS, and sure enough that solved the problem for me. HTH.

While renaming an error occurred: File already exists and overwrite not specified: I am using a software called Photo Mechanic on a 27" iMac. It works very well on Mac apart from the above annoying error. I have checked the status of individual files it will not rename and they are unlocked and all permissions are set allow me to edit the files. I suspect this is something to do with permissions on a iMac. Anyone come across a similar problem?

Cant move screenshot pics to trash, error code -36 I have 5 screenshots that I have on my desktop, I have tried several times of moving them into the trash to delete but am getting the -36 error code, "The Finder can't complete the operation because some data can't be read or written. I ave tried dragging the files into dot_clean but it says invalid directory. I have also checked the permissions as I am the admin for the computer.....any suggestions....super annoying I can't just delete some pics off the desktop screen....

I get an error code when trying to open Photos. It says it does not have permission to access the photos library. Double click to get permission. I cannot open Photos on this new Mac powerbook. It tells me it doesn't have permission to use the library choose another or quit. How do I fix it?

FYI, I'm guessing this is a software bug, where if for example you run out of disk space while uploading a large number of videos the Image Capture application doesn't unlock all the locked files it has while exiting.
