A very common reason why an Apple ID may become disabled in the App Store is if you had initiated a charge back from Apple. Meaning you maybe had unrecognized charges from Apple stemming from an in-app purchase, a subscription renewal, maybe a free trial for a subscription you forgot about and had charged, whatever the case may be. If you had contacted your card issuer to dispute those charges, that would result in App Store disablement mainly because reporting unrecognized/unauthorized charges to your bank would indicate that your payment method was fraudulently used. So for the safety and security of your payment method, the Apple ID linked to that payment method gets disabled as a precaution. If you ever have unrecognized charges from Apple on your billing statement, check your purchase history in your settings. To resolve this issue, you would contact Apple Support.
