iMessage scheduled texts

Is it possible to schedule a text in iMessage (iPad or iPhone)? Samsung has had the feature for at least a year, was hoping iOS would follow. Just reviewed new iOS 16 features and still did not see it, hoping I missed it!

No, that's not a feature of iOS (or iPadOS). You can let Apple know it's something you'd like to see in the future here:

Product Feedback - Apple

Note that most third-party apps I've ever looked at that claim to be able to perform this function really just send you a reminder when it's time to send the message. So, be careful to test them before spending money.

Other than schedule a reminder , I don't believe so though do check out these possibilities :

Timer in the control center , ask Siri or the app " Scheduled App" ( AutoText - Scheduled Message )

In the App Store , search for the app , scroll down to " works on this iPad " , tap it , one of them doesn't include iPad , be sure to choose the correct one .
