I changed my Apple ID through the same account that I have. It didn’t get rid of the other Apple ID and it’s still listed as an alias. It’s not a problem, but where I wanted to keep it simple, is there a way to delete the old Apple Id (alias)?

If the alias isn't an iCloud address.
If the alias is an iCloud address, you can't change/remove @iCloud.com, @me.com or @mac.com addresses unless it is an alias you created after the Apple ID was set up.
