Why is it that when I'm Googling one thing on My Macbook Air Intel 2020 the fans just go berserk and the Mac overheats?

Probably and not what the user may want to here, because Google Chrome, even if with only 1 Tab open, is a Known CPU and Memory Hog
That is beside that Google Chrome does harvest your personal Data for Re=Sale to the Highest Bidders.
One can see just how much CPU / Memory Google Chrome is using by opening System Activity Application >> View >> View ALL Processes.

Once that is done and if the user whats a Chrome Experience without the Hover Head of Google - get rid of it via the Developers Specific Instructions.
Perhaps www.brace.com would be an alternative
