How do I change carriers on my Series 3 i watch --

I wasn't using my i Watch, series 3, and I have ended my account with Verizon. Under SETTINGS the watch still says the carrier is Verizon. The watch is completely paid for and I ended the account with Verizon 2 years ago.

I want to give the watch to my daughter and let her link it to her i Phone. Will she be able to add the i Watch to her phone's wireless service without my doing anything further? I am able to find the IMEI number which I believe is the info needed to connect to a wireless service...
