When typing messages in the WSJ "conversation" section I am unable to insert any text between what I just typed. After moving the cursor back to insert a word or phrase it (the cursor) jumps to the end of what I have written. I have a MacBook Air V2. Thanks for any help!

Messages on Mac mangles text when editing (Big Sur and Monterey) When editing text in the Messages app, Messages will completely mangle the text. It inserts random characters, cuts out words, and makes a complete mess of the text. If I'm typing a longer text message, I have to do so in another application and then copy and paste the text into Messages. I've experienced this problem on my old Intel MacBook Pro running Big Sur as well as my new AS MacBook Pro running Monterey. I did not use the Migration Assistant to migrate to my new machine either. Any suggestions?

MacOS messages app not active when I swipe screen and back I think this started with Ventura. Maybe Monterrey. But it is only a problem with the Messages app. But if I am in the middle of typing a message, and then I swipe away from that screen to look at something on another full screen (like Safari), when I swipe back to my main desktop with Messages, the app appears to be the active app with a blinking cursor and everything. However, if I start typing again, it doesn't show up in the text box. Even more strangely is that my typing is registering, because autocorrect options will show in the text box even though there is no text. This is minor in the grand scheme of things, but I just have this habit of swapping back and immediately typing, and then realizing a sentence in I have to reselect the box and retype everything. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Also, it does appear to be a bug, because it doesn't happen that way with any other app.

Emoji can't be inserted on a MacBook Air M2 - OS Monterey Hello, This is very strange since I can display the emoji screen but they can't be inserted within my writings (mail, word, note, ...). I am working on a brand new MacBook Air M2 with the latest version OS Monterey 12.5.1 I have erased and reinstalled entirely OS Monterey but it didn't fix the issue. What is going on? I am able to display the emoji window by clicking on the keyboard short cut, but when I chose one emoji and click on it, the window disappears and the emoji is NOT inserted on the screen. What works? I just made it work by clicking on the top right icon on the emoji window to bring up the "Character viewer" instead (see print screen). I can now double click on an emoji and insert it in my text. By switching back from the characters viewer to the emoji window it now work as well. But if I close the window and bring the emoji screen up again, I can't insert anymore any emoji.🧐🤔 It makes the process a little more long and painful especially when you're using a lot of emoji on a daily basis... Any idea how to fix this?
