Apple music plays for up to 2 hours
I have an iMac (2017) running macOS Monterey 12.5.1. Apple music plays for up to 2 hours (random timing), the iMac closes and quits, forcing me to sign-in and reopen. Any idea why this happens?

Thanks tt2, I discovered it isn't Apple Music that causes the problem but it is the iMac. I installed the Amazon Music app and it closed but didn't quit after 1 hour 35 minutes. So, I guess this thread is now in the wrong place since it is an iMac problem.

No worries. See How to force an app to quit on your Mac - Apple Support if you don't already know how to do that so you can force the app to close if it happens again.

No, but you can try holding down option+cmd as you launch Music to open it in its safe mode. This sometimes helps with odd errors.

Thanks again I know how to force quit but I need to close this discussion as it is now a macOS Monterey issue. How do I close this? I'm switching to macOS Monterey to continue.
