Keychain key icon overlaps show hide password eye icon

Does anyone know a keyboard shortcut to bring up a keychain password when the key icon overlaps with the eye icon in the password entry field? When I try to click the key it triggers the eye icon to show or hide the password.

I have seen this issue discussed on a few message boards (except for this one) over several years.

iMac 27″, macOS 12.5

For difficulties with the login process on websites you'll want to take the steps below:

Reload the page
Check Safari extensions
Check Safari settings
Test with a private window
Install software updates

Should that still persist, does this occur with all websites, or only certain ones?
