Registry error problem in GarageBand & Logic Pro

After some hunting, I found a solution I wanted to share with anyone else having this problem.

Issue: Garageband and Logic Pro fail to load (get stuck with spinning rainbow wheel). If you are lucky you can grab and move the main GarageBand or Logic Pro load pop-up window and spot the error message behind "Registry Error: Please ensure this product has been installed properly"

Solution: delete incompatible plug-in (in my case this was the "YamahaSteinbergUSBAudio.driver" - related to what seems to be now incompatible (shame) Stenberg UR22 mkkII audio interface).

Hope this helps anyone else who is getting frustrated like I was.
