Mac Studio Monterey 12.5.1 problem...

Why does it take several seconds for my Magic Mouse and TrackPad to "kick in" ? I am dead in the water sometimes and I must keep a WIRED mouse (still had one!) to get things moving. I am on Monterey 12.5.1

This computer is the BEST Mac EVER EVER EVER!!!

Have you tried restarting in Safe Mode followed by a normal restart?

Try unplugging the trackpad and restarting, does the mouse still take a time to be recognised?

Is the trackpad an Apple product?

Do you have any antivirus or cleanup apps installed?
