What if Device/Transfer/transfer from ipad does not work when trying to transfer purchased items from the ipad to itunes?

Apps are not directly transferred between devices. Instead, compatible Apps that remain available must simply be reinstalled from the App Store.

Music transferred from your iTunes Music Library must again be synchronised from the host Windows PC or Apple Mac computer.
