Hello Mike7372,

Thanks for asking about FaceTime and sharing the screen.

Please verify you both meet the requirements and are set up: Share your screen in a FaceTime call on iPhone - Apple Support

Minimum system requirements for SharePlay and screen sharing

  • iPhone with iOS 15.1
  • iPad with iPadOS 15.1
  • iPod touch with iOS 15.1
  • Mac with macOS Monterey 12.1
  • Apple TV with tvOS 15.1

On a device with iOS 15.4, iPadOS 15.4, or later, you can start a FaceTime call in the Music app (or other supported music app) or the Apple TV app (or other supported video app) and use SharePlay to share music or video content with others on the call.

Next, try with other apps, such as Music. If other apps work, then it's not a supported app. Thanks.

My husband and daughter can share their screen but mine says unavailable. I have been having this issue for about 2 weeks, before and after upgrading to ios 16 (we are all currently on ios 16). We all have eligible devices, we are all in the US, we are all on wifi, we do not have emoji's saved in our contact names, and i've tried rebooting my device (all "solutions" to this issue that i've found in internet searches)
