Quicknotes in Safari in Reader Mode

So, I just updated my MacBook Pro (2020, with Touch Bar) to the new Monterey, and I discovered that there is a cool feature called Quick Notes in a lot of applications as well as online when you are using Safari. However, I may have discovered a flaw in the update. I like to read my articles in Safari using the reader mode because it's more organised. I thought I would try and make a note using the new Quick Notes feature, but the option does not appear when I right-click (two finger tap) the text I would like to annotate.

I know that I could just exit from reader mode and do it on the regular site. But I was wondering if there would be a fix for this.

Thank you for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.

Are you able to start Quick Note using these options:

"Start a Quick Note

If you’re working in another app and want to write something down, you can easily start a Quick Note. Do one of the following:

Use the keyboard shortcut: Press and hold the Fn key or Globe key , then press Q.
Use hot corners: Move the pointer to the hot corner for Quick Note (by default, the lower-right corner of the screen), then click the note that appears. See Use hot corners."

If the issue persists, can you provide a few more details? What happens when you use the shortcuts provided? What happens when you use those shortcuts outside of Reader.
