I'm using 7 plus, ios 12.4.1 should I upgrade to the newest ios?
I’m still using iOS 12.4.1 but now I want to upgrade to the newest iOS. Is that ok with my phone? Is it lag or something?

You should upgrade to the highest iOS your device will accept. I don’t think it will be able to do iOS 16 when it releases in a few hours. I think you need at least an iPhone 8.
iOS 16 is compatible with these devices.
