Can't use Apple Account Balance to complete purchase

Rather than a problem, i think they are doing this kind of manual approval. For some reason.

Did you waited 24 hour after the email or was you able to used it right away I received the email but still getting same error

I found the fix 😀😀. My order got processed!!

Step 1: call customer support and get your call transferred to sales team

Step 2: Tell them your issue and suggest them that you will place the order with debit/credit card and ask them to change the payment method. They have the option to do it.

Because they don’t charge till they ship - I have not yet been charged (i.e., the amount to pay for the order has not yet been deducted from my account balance)

So this solution might just delay the problem

I won’t know for sure for 3-4 weeks, when the product ships

But - the CS agent specifically noted how much of my account balance was “authorized” for this order -- and noted that the authorized amount was higher than what the actual order would cost (the sales tax is estimated at the time of the order - it can change later)

- so I remain hopeful :-)

How soon after you placed the order did you call Apple to change the payment option? And then it went through? And how many days has it been with no issues so far? Pls let us know if it bounces back with an issue

elaborate this issue! You couldn’t able to place the order due to error from apple side.

Then tell them that you will place order using credit/debit card, And ask them to change the payment method to apple pay balance once the order has been placed. It will work!

When you say Apple Account, do you mean Apple Cash? App Store credit? Also, it takes about five business days for your funds to return to their respective accounts after a return has been made.

Same here, I sat on the phone yesterday for hours, being transferred all over the place, no resolution. It's nuts

Was bounced all over for over 2 hours yesterday, finally got told to just try the store. I'll try the method of buying with credit card and then transferring to apple balance tomorrow
