authorizing a new mail client
Yesterday I upgraded to version 12.6 and now My outlook program doesn't work. In the past I had to authorize this somewhere in my account But I can't find the correct place.
thanks

If you are collecting your iCloud email in Outlook, you would need to set up an App Password to facilitate allowing Outlook to access your iCloud data. That is done on appleID.apple.com
Sign in to apps with your Apple ID using app-specific passwords

It doesn't work means it doesn't send or receive mail. It did yesterday and for the last few years
but I upgraded Mac OS to 12.6 and it then stoped "working." The only change is the new OS
My question is -- to use an other m]mail app I had to assign a special password for it on the Apple site. It was on my account page. The last time I set it up. Today I can't find its on tha page
Obviously something changed in OS12.6
Change the default web browser or email app on your Mac
This applies, only if while doing the update to Monterey 12.6 , Outlook was changed back to the Default Apple Mail Application for e-mails
What does, "doesn't work," mean?
The only Authorization would be done by Microsoft in their licensing scheme. You do need to sign into your Microsoft account to gain access to their software.
That really fixed thing thanks
