Hello itwinnie,

Apple Support Communities is a great place for help! If you're having issues powering on your Mac, the steps listed below are provided by Apple to help resolve this issue. You can also find these steps in the article below.

  1. "Check power connections"
  2. "Press and hold the power button"
  3. "Unplug accessories"
  4. "If you see something on your screen"
  5. "If you see nothing on your screen"
  6. "Reset the SMC (Intel-based Mac only)"
  7. "Contact us"

If your Mac doesn't turn on

If you're having a different issue, please let us know in more detail about the issue you're facing. This will help us provide more tailored troubleshooting to help reach a resolution.

If you'd rather visit a location to have your Mac inspected, you may be able to find an Apple Authorized Service Provider near you. These locations provide the same great service that Apple Store do and are certified by Apple to offer service and troubleshooting. Those locations can be found via the link below.
