music cuts in and out with adapter

I have an iPhone SE 2020, so I don't have a headphone jack input. I bought the lightning to headphone jack adapter from Apple (I made sure that it's not a third party one, those generally don't work). I tried to use the wired earphones that I allways use on my pc (brand is JBL), but noticed that with most songs on apple music (weirdly not all of them), the audio cuts out and then after a second works again. This is happening multiple times per song. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

Update: this is happening on apps like youtube too.
