Jnze7, Here is one for you. Two 10R's Mine & my wife's. My battery health was 89% prior to IOS upgrade. When completed received message saying battery was significantly degraded. Health was at 88%. My wife's was 83% before the upgrade. After upgrading was still at 83% but never received any message. Wondering if it's an Apple initiative to make one purchase a new phone. Interesting huh?

Updates recalibrate the battery health. Based on what you're describing, some issues were found. You don't have to buy a new phone. Just get the battery replaced.

It is not unusual to see some higher-than-usual battery drain in the 24-48 hours after an update, especially a major one. There's lots of behind-the-scenes housekeeping going on.

Replacing the battery will make the phone feel like new again. My iPhone 11 Pro has a battery health of 82% so, I'm getting ready to get the battery replaced. I believe this is the second time. The phone is still in great shape and, as I just bought a new Watch and a new MBA, I can't quite justify a new iPhone this year.
Still might. wait the 48hrs to see how long it really lasts.

If Settings>Battery>Battery Health is telling you that your battery is degraded, that's not going to get better in 48 hours. That's an entirely separate issue than the battery health dropping.
Depending on what you're doing, that could mean nothing or it could mean a problem.

However it's funny how the wife's with a lower battery health had no issues.
No, not really. The battery "health" only measures the percent of normal wear. Think of it like the fuel guage on your car. It's telling you when you'll run out of fuel. But, other things could still go wrong with the car. You could have a flat tire or blow a gasket (sorry, don't really know cars). It sounds that, for whatever reasons, your battery has developed an issue that that your wife's has not.
No
Must be a bug then.

Guess just wishful thinking lol. As I sit here plugged in charging. Down from 100% to 80 since just 11:30 this morning. Now 3:30. 😢
