I would like to use a work computer (macbook air M1) as a "host" computer for universal control to use my work mouse/keyboard on my personal macbook pro (m1 max, 14").
My question is this: assuming my work's IT department is logging keystrokes, would they be able to "see" my personal typing on my own computer if the work computer is the host?

Universal Control communicates among all its linked devices, so using it links your work computer to your personal Mac.
Lacking a definitive answer from your employer's IT department regarding logging of individual keystrokes, no one here can provide one. Assume they do.
Most likely they are encrypted, but if your work Mac is "managed" using MDM or Jamf (for example) then I doubt it matters.
Figured that was the case, just didn't know if the keystrokes, when being sent to the personal computer, are somehow encrypted. Thanks!
thanks, makes sense. I'm not doing anything sketchy, lol - i just don't want to mix work and personal digital stuff if I don't have to.
