iOS 16 new emojis

Hi runawaygringo - with iOS 16, Apple has not confirmed new emojis but there is plenty new you can do with emojis like:

• create patterned Lock Screens based on emojis
• insert emojis when sending messages with Siri
• insert emojis using your voice while dictating on a device
• search for emojis in 19 new languages (eg. Albanian, Filipino, Icelandic)

There are no new emojis added with iOS 16.0.

New emojis are proposed and defined by the Unicode Consortium not by Apple.

Unicode 15.0 has been finalized by the Consortium today.

There are 20 new emojis in this version.

You can expect these emojis to come to iOS with one of the new iOS 16.x releases in the coming weeks or months.
