Hi i just bought a apple phone from someone on facebook they said it was unlocked but when i got home it said i need to sign in to the apple id that had already been on it. How can i get help with this?

Since I did buy it and have proof on my Facebook messages can I still hook the phone up?

You will need the assistance of the previous owner. If you cannot get their assistance, see if Facebook offers any buyer protection.

Your proof of purchase may help with Facebook but doesn't prove that the device wasn't lost by or stolen from the previous owner.
