I placed a pre-order for iPhone 14 pro max and will receive it in October in Canada. I want to give it to my dad as a gift and he will use it outside Canada while in our homeland eSims are not working . So I need the iPhone to have the sim card tray. I've read that all US-sold iPhones do not have sim card trays. Is it the same story for iPhones in Canada?
If you ordered it from Apple Online Shop in Canada, you should get a model with SIM card tray.

One + as many eSIMs as you want to use (not at the same time, of course).
