iPad OS 16
I have an iPad Mini 6th generation (model MK8H3LL/A) with 170 GB of available memory. It seems like I should be able to install iPad OS 16 but that option does not appear when I check software update.

Unlike iOS16 for iPhone, released 12th September, iPadOS16 is not due for release until sometime in October.
However, iPadOS 15.7 was also released 12th September - incorporating essential security updates.

While iOS16 is available for iPhone, iPhone owners have the option to just install iOS15.7 at this time.
