How do I update to the iOS 16 official release from the beta (iOS 16 RC)?

I'm running iOS 16.0 beta (20A362) on my iPhone and people I know have received iOS official release, but it's not showing up for me. I went ahead and removed the beta profile following the instructions of the official support page, How to uninstall iOS or iPadOS beta software - Apple Support, but after step 3 it says to install the next available non-beta version. iOS 16 official release is still not showing up for me over two days after it showed up for my friend. Do I just need to wait longer, or wait for iOS 16.1 to come out? I had that thought because I figured maybe the iOS 16 RC is the same as iOS 16 official release, meaning there's no update available to me.
