OTP from Messages not suggested in Keyboard

iPhone 13 with iOS 16, I used to get the OTP on my keypad earlier as soon as or even before the message notification comes. But now it is not case.

I do not want to go to messages, read the OTP and type it in. I have already gone through all guides online, did not help. Kindly provide solution.

Thanks,

Sathya.

Hey sathya1.

Thanks for the additional details. Try the following, and let us know if it is helpful.

  1. Tap Settings > Safari > AutoFill; disable "Use Contact Info" and "Credit Cards"
  2. Close Safari: Close an app on your iPhone or iPod touch
  3. Restart your iPhone
  4. Tap Settings > Safari > Autofill; enable "Use Contact Info" and "Credit Cards"
  5. Open Safari and test with an SMS verification code again.

If these steps aren't helpful, Get Support directly from Apple here.

Take care.

Hey there, and welcome to Apple Support Communities sathya1,

We can certainly understand your concern and are here to help as much as we can.

Just to clarify, when you say "OTP" are you referring to one-time password? If so, check out these steps for more information on how to use one-time-passwords and see if everything matches up on your side.

" Automatically fill in SMS passcodes on iPhone

When you sign in to some websites and apps, a one-time SMS passcode is sent to your iPhone. As a security measure, you’re required to enter the code into the website or app. iPhone can detect the passcode in Messages and display it above the keyboard.

To use the passcode, tap it.

Note: With Continuity, all the SMS and MMS messages you send and receive on iPhone can also appear on your other iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices and your Mac. See the Apple Support article Use Continuity to connect your Mac, iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Apple Watch. "

Kindest regards!

Hi R_Gabriel,

Thanks, my issue lies here, the following does not happen now-a-days.

”iPhone can detect the passcode in Messages and display it above the keyboard. To use the passcode, tap it.”

Would like to know if I reset this feature and make it start working again. In below image, I can see that I have received the message with one-time password, but apple keyboard will not pick it up as said in the guides.
