Should energizer battery work in AirTag?
AirTag (bought in November) not showing up under devices anymore. Did not get a low battery notification. New energizer battery not giving off a”chirp”. Does it sound like the AirTag is shot?

AFAIK, only some Duracell batteries (with bitterant coatings) do not work with the Apple AirTags. Unless the Energizer battery you are using have the similar coating, is should be fine.

No, it does not have the coating but does not work.
If you have more than one to test with, and it still does not work, then yes it is possible that the AirTag itself is the culprit.
Yup, three different batteries not working. Thanks for your replies!
