iOS 16 Messages

when I send a message and edit it, the other persons phone shows “Edited to” and whatever the message was in a new blue text bubble. But when they send a message to me and edit, it just shows where they’ve edited the message and the original one is no longer there. We both have iOS 16 I’m just wondering why is this happening? Any ideas? The screen shot is from their phone showing what my messages look like to them

My text messages are going to my iPad instead of my iPhone I got a brand new phone. I sent out a bunch of text messages to family and friends over New Year’s. And now my text message responses are primarily going to my iPad and not to my phone. messages not attached to original message I have an iPhone 14 pro using IOS 16.3. Usually, when I send a text to one or more people as a group, their responses come back with the original message. For some reason, since the last update I think, the responses now come as a separate message. This makes it difficult to ascertain which message people are responding to. In other words, if a send a message to A, B, and C and they respond, each response comes back as an individual message. If I have also sent a completely different message to A, E and F, their responses also come back as individual messages. So if A responds yes, I have no idea which message he is responding to. Hopefully I have made the problem clear. Is there a setting I am missing somewhere that would fix this? I have looked everywhere for one and haven't seen any other complaints so I must be missing something. Thanks, Susan

Messages coming in Grey color bubble Both my wife and I have iPhones with unlimited text. We only receive messages from each other in a grey colored bubble. All the settings are correct and have turned iMessages off, then back on, and rebooted the phones. Still same issue

I believe that means they have not yet updated to iOS 16.
