Note

My note keeps crashing after I’ve updated to IOS 16. Is there any fix? Currently use 12 pro max.

Thanks for coming to Apple Support Communities for help today.


Have you restarted your iPhone yet? This action can resolve many minor issues. You could even do this after closing the Notes app.


"iPhone X and later


  1. From the Home Screen, swipe up from the bottom of the screen and pause in the middle of the screen.
  2. Swipe right or left to find the app that you want to close. 
  3. Swipe up on the app's preview to close the app."


If that doesn't resolve the issue, be sure you are syncing your notes to either iCloud or a third-party service. Then delete the app and reinstall it from the App Store. This can resolve software issues within the app.


"How to delete an app


  1. Touch and hold the app.
  2. Tap Remove App Remove App icon.
  3. Tap Delete App, then tap Delete to confirm."


If the issue continues after this, we'd recommend a deeper dive with Apple Support.
