IPhone apps Blacked out and say “Waiting” and cannot upgrade to new System 15.7. Any help out there will be appreciated.

With your apps showing "Waiting" this indicates that the apps are trying to load to iPhone. This usually occurs after restoring an iCloud backup. There are a few things to check to ensure the apps load properly.

First, make sure you have available storage in Settings > General > iPhone Storage. If you're already at maximum capacity, the apps will not load. There are several ways to clear storage as mentioned in How to check the storage on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.

Secondly, be sure that you are connected to a fast and reliable internet connection. The slower the connection, the longer this will take. Disconnecting or switching networks will also slow down the loading process.

Lastly, if you have a large number of apps, it will take longer to load all of them. If iPhone is frozen and not progressing, force restart iPhone.

Press and quickly release the volume up button.

Press and quickly release the volume down button.

Press and hold the side button until you see the Apple logo.
