Hey, fatemah131. We noticed that you mentioned that you’re using an “apple password manager”. Do you mean you’re not getting the two-factor authentication code and using iCloud Keychain? Please take a look at these articles:

Two-factor authentication for Apple ID - Apple Support

Set up iCloud Keychain - Apple Support

We also checked the Snapchat support site and found this information. Snapchat also uses their own two-factor authentication: How to Set Up Two-Factor Authentication with SMS on Snapchat

You will lose access to your account if you have enabled Two-Factor Authentication and happen to:
• Lose your phone 😩
• Change your phone number 📱
Restore your phone to its original factory settings 🔄
• Authenticator App Only: Lose or delete the original Authenticator App you used to set up Two-Factor Authentication

If you created a recovery code to use when you’re unable to log into Snapchat, they’ve also provided this information: Why is it important to have a recovery code for Snapchat?

Have you tried resetting the password you’re using for Snapchat?

All the best.

fatemah13,

Thanks for providing us those details. Upon reviewing this further, this is isolated towards the authenticator app that you're using and not iCloud Keychain or two factor authentication with Apple. An authenticator app is either Google Authenticator or Duo. Depending on which authenticator app you're using with Snapchat, you'll want to contact them for additional assistance. Here's two links with detailed information about each app: Google Authenticator and Duo Mobile.

You may want to consider contacting the app developer for the authenticator you're using for further assistance on this matter.

Take care.

Yes I need more help.

i contacted Snapchat the developer and they were no help , all I was getting was auto generated replies for the past 2 months.

snapchat requires verification code to be generated either by an authentication app or sent to the number to be able to log back into the account. My old phone number is expired therefore I cannot receive the verification codes on there

below you will find a screenshot of where the verification code will be generated (obviously it won’t show in screenshot for privacy reasons)

when I try to log onto Snapchat with my verification codes it won’t allow me to log on , it either says it’s an invalid verification or to try again later.

i don’t know why it’s not working. Snapchat said to contact the the authentication provider to see if it’s something wrong with their system and that’s apple . Can you help me please ?

Hi ,

yes I tried resetting the password but it either asks to put in the verification code sent to my old phone number which is expired now.

when you go to setting and click on passwords , search for the app you want to know the password for (in this case Snapchat), you will find that if you enabled 2FA through the desired app , verification codes are being generated every 10 seconds .

these are the verification codes I am talking about as I have used these codes before to log into my Snapchat on a new device. So I don’t understand why it is not working now .

When I try to delete the verification code systems via the system steps I explained above , I am prompted with a message that says I must log into Snapchat and make sure that I can log into my account before deleting the verification code generator otherwise I can’t log in again and will loose access to my Snapchat. But how can I log in when the verification codes are not working ? snapchat said to contact the app that the verification codes are being generated on which would be apple ?

so I’m kinda stuck now .
